AI accounting software in Saudi Arabia: what each tool's AI actually does
Saudi accounting tools now range from Arabic-first ledgers whose AI drafts entries for your approval, such as Jabr, Mezan and Wafeq, to point-of-sale systems that add AI invoice reading, such as Rewaa. The first filter is still ZATCA e-invoicing: your invoices must come from a compliant solution, and ZATCA keeps an indicative directory of providers. This page compares ten tools, including ZeroFin, as checked on 30 October 2026.

Key takeaways
- Eight of the ten tools are in ZATCA's solution provider directory at Phase 2: Mezan, Mawrid, Qoyod, Wafeq, Daftra, Mazeed, Rewaa and Zoho Books. Jabr says its Pro plan supports Phase 2 but was not in the directory on 30 October 2026. ZeroFin is not in it.
- The directory is not a certificate. ZATCA states that the list is not an approval of the solutions in it.
- For AI that drafts work you approve, Jabr, Mezan's Nour AI and Wafeq AI go furthest. Jabr's Business plan also adds a 13-week cash outlook and scenarios.
- ZeroFin is English-only and does not issue ZATCA e-invoices. In Saudi Arabia it fits as an AI CFO and management bookkeeping tool next to your Phase 2 invoicing system.

The directory describes itself as a guiding list and says it "is not considered as an approval by ZATCA" of the solutions in it. Use it to shortlist, then ask the vendor to show its Phase 2 onboarding with the Fatoora platform.

Wave 25 deadline: 1 February 2027
ZATCA's 25th integration wave covers taxpayers whose VAT-able revenue exceeded SAR 187,500 in 2022, 2023, 2024 or 2025. ZATCA will notify them to connect their e-invoicing solution to the Fatoora platform by 1 February 2027. Source: ZATCA, 24 July 2026.
How do I choose AI accounting software in Saudi Arabia?
- 1
Confirm your e-invoicing route
Your sales invoices must come from a ZATCA-compliant solution, and from your wave's date it must be integrated with Fatoora. Shortlist tools in the directory at Phase 2, or plan a separate invoicing system.
- 2
Keep official records in Arabic
The VAT Implementing Regulations (Article 66) require records to be kept in Arabic and tax invoices to be issued in Arabic, with other languages allowed as a translation. Most Saudi tools above are Arabic-first.
- 3
Decide what the AI should do
For drafted entries you approve, compare Jabr, Mezan's Nour AI and Wafeq AI. For document reading only, Rewaa and Daftra may be enough.
- 4
Decide whether you need planning
Jabr's Business plan and Zoho Books Premium include forecasts and budgets. ZeroFin Mr. CFO answers burn, runway and P&L questions from your books in English, without forecasting.
Where does ZeroFin fit in Saudi Arabia?
ZeroFin is not your ZATCA invoicing system or your official Arabic VAT record. It suits founders and finance leads who want management numbers in English: keep a set of books in SAR, let ZeroFin Mr. Accountant draft the entries, and ask ZeroFin Mr. CFO about cash, burn and runway. Plans start at $8 a month (about SAR 30), billed in US dollars. If you want one Arabic system that does everything, choose one of the Phase 2 tools above instead. See AI CFO software for Saudi startups for how ZeroFin Mr. CFO works with SAR figures.
What ZeroFin does not do in Saudi Arabia
- ZeroFin is not in ZATCA's solution provider directory and does not issue ZATCA e-invoices: no QR codes and no connection to the Fatoora platform.
- ZeroFin has no Arabic interface, Arabic invoices or Arabic records, which Saudi VAT rules require for official records.
- ZeroFin does not prepare or file VAT, Zakat or withholding tax returns, and it is not a tax agent.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI accounting software in Saudi Arabia?
For an Arabic-first ledger with AI that drafts entries for your approval and Phase 2 e-invoicing, compare Jabr, Mezan and Wafeq; Mezan and Wafeq were in ZATCA's directory at Phase 2 on 30 October 2026, and Jabr was not. For English-language AI bookkeeping and plain-English answers on burn and runway, ZeroFin fits next to a Phase 2 invoicing system.
Is ZeroFin ZATCA-compliant?
No. ZeroFin is not in ZATCA's solution provider directory and does not issue ZATCA e-invoices. Use a Phase 2 e-invoicing solution for your sales invoices and keep your official records in Arabic.
Does being in ZATCA's directory mean the software is approved?
No. ZATCA describes the directory as a guiding list and states that it is not considered an approval of the solutions in it. Ask the vendor to show its Phase 2 integration with the Fatoora platform.
Who must integrate with ZATCA's Fatoora platform by 1 February 2027?
Taxpayers in Wave 25: those whose revenue subject to VAT exceeded SAR 187,500 in 2022, 2023, 2024 or 2025. ZATCA notifies the taxpayers it selects.
Can I use QuickBooks or Xero in Saudi Arabia?
Neither was in ZATCA's solution provider directory on 30 October 2026, and Xero has no Saudi website. If you use one, you need a separate route for Phase 2 e-invoices and Arabic records.
Which Saudi accounting software has an AI CFO or cash forecast?
Jabr's Business plan includes a profit forecast, a 13-week cash outlook and scenarios, and Zoho Books Premium includes cash-flow forecasting. ZeroFin Mr. CFO answers burn, runway and P&L questions from your current books in English, but does not forecast.
